Menopause and Andropause

Menapause is a sign of decline in reproductive function in women that occurs naturally. Usually occurred there 45 years of age. " Menopause " is a phase of life of women which is characterized by cessation of menstruation and cessation of reproductive function. Told menopause if a woman does not menstruate for at least 12 years.

Andropause is a complaint arising from the reduction of androgens in men at different ages and Brazilians is a natural thing. In general, at the age of 60 years.

Symptoms of Menapause:

1. Psychological problems such as lethargy, headaches, dizziness, sleeplessness, irritable, difficulty concentrating, anxiety and depression.
2. Or bursts of hot flush and a lot of sweat.
3. Bone pain.
4. Heart palpitations.
5. Erratic appetite.
6. Changes in menstrual pattern.
7. Drying of the vagina.
8. Often complain of indigestion.
9. Menstrual pattern changes due to drying of the vagina.
10. Osteoporosis due to complications of menopause.

Symptoms of Andropause:

1. Desire decline sexuality (libido)
2. Shortage of energy or power.
3. Decrease in muscle strength or endurance.
4. Decrease in height.
5. Reduced pleasures and comforts of life.
6. Often sad or angry for no apparent reason.
7. Reduction in erection strength.
8. Asleep after eating.
9. Drop in work ability.

If you have complaints from 1-7 or a combination of four or more complaints, it is classified as andropause.

How to deal with Andropause and Menopause:

1. Psychological problems that arise usually do not require treatment because it will disappear by itself.
2. Diabetes management.
3. Giving vitamin D and Calcium 800-1000 mg per day can prevent osteoporosis
4. Consult a physician.
